Travel Tips
- Visitors from out of town should plan their lodging early. Motels, Campgrounds, and B&Bs can be crowded in this season.
- Drive Safely! Be a cautious driver. Watch out for cars making sudden stops and avoid doing so yourself. Also, try to avoid U-turns, no matter how good the attraction.
- Make sure your car is in good mechanical shape before you leave. Cell phones don't work in some remote areas.
- Pack water, extra clothing, raingear, sunscreen, and good shoes. A comfortable shopper is a happy shopper.
- Respect local residents not participating in the event. Heed signs saying "No Trespassing" and "No Parking".
- Be patient. With many people attending, some roads may have heavy traffic.
- Please use extreme caution when traveling the roadways, because of the traffic, it can be dangerous to walk across the road.
- Be Safe! ALWAYS use your seatbelts and turn-signals.
- No matter what treasure you spot, try not to stop suddenly.
- Please do not make U-turns when you see an item you find interesting.
