Cole Johnson has always been an artist. His training began with his love for the forests and fields of upstate New York. His interest in observing wildlife, and capturing what he sees on paper has always been a part of his life. His education continued as he persued, and acquired a degree in fine arts. Further study, and experimentation helped him develop, and refine his technique.
He works exclusively in graphite pencil. His use of light and shadow, and his ability to capture the animal's expression, make you feel as if you are there. There is a sense of reality in his work. Not just a picture, but something deeper. You almost feel a "Spiritual Connection" with the animal.
