A Visit To:

Kerrville '98

Kerrville is a growing community in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas, about 1 Hour West of San Antonio. For the past 27 years, in late May and into early June it plays host to the Kerrville Folk Festival. For 18 days, and nights, some of the most creative musicians flock to a ranch 9 miles South of town for what might be called "Summer Camp for Singer-Songwriters". This is not just a music festival, but truly a Musicians Festival.
Main Stage
Those of us, who aren't musicians, yet are fortunate to come here to see and hear these performers, certainly have a great time, but we could never tap into that pool of Creative Energy that is formed when musicians, of all skill levels, get together to share their ideas, and inspire each other. After the stage performnances are over, something magical happens. They gather around a campfire, and going late into the night, they play for the love of it. Ask anyone who has been there.

The well of creativity grows and grows as each takes his or her turn around the circle, each feeding on those who went before. Each adds to the caldrons brew, and each takes from it. Giving what they can, taking what they need. The pool never runs dry, there is always enough for everyone.

It is here that lifelong friendships are formed,

More to come.....(When I have time)
