Efficiency
TOPIC: ------------ Log Homes--------- *Why I wouldn't own one or advise anyone to own one* Considering building new Log Home? Think again. Will it meet todays needs? It's possible that certain individual package parts of your exterior components such as the log walls? you may have to increase your furnice size and its output BTU size which means you'll be paying more for your fuel type. Example: While moving about your new home you might feel comfortable. Your walls may not be rated @ NYS code R-(Heat retention) value which should be an R21 for Chenango Co. area and some of its surrounding counties. Each exterior component of your house contributes to your whole house energy efficiency. If your walls do not meet heat retention levels as needed, then windows sizes have to be reduced in size and the ceiling insulation has to be increased. The new home owner has to sacrifice something!! Now that being said, and with today's current events, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the price of fuel is becoming more costly and it looks as though it's going to continue to rise. Knowing this is inevitable, it will be obvious to an intelligent person, such as yourself, to opt for the best - in anticipation of what the future holds in store for you and your investment.
